In 1964 the company was founded as dependent subsidiary of Gustaf Fagerberg AB, Gothenburg.
     Already one year later the company's name was changed to "GEFA Industriearmaturen GmbH" as the firm became an independent daughter of the Swedish holding. From the very beginning GEFA's main activity was the sale of butterfly valves and ball valves.
     In the course of the years the merchandise was replaced by products of own production. Customers' requirements as well as our excellent product experiences had a high influence on the design of our valves. For more than 20 years e.g. we have been manufacturing the EPDM-seated butterfly valves series K 19.
