Ram or Piston valves provide full-flow and are available with soft or metal sealing. In the bulk pharmaceutical and find chemicals industry, they are often combined with integrated sampling valves. The ram-type valve is one of our most successful products. These valves, used for the dead space free draining and feeding of vessels, reactor and pipelines, are preferable to disc valves, when full, unimpeded flow or an integrated sampling system is required. As the piston travels completely out of the flow path, the type 28 is ideally suited for highly viscous materials, or where rapid vessel drainage is important.
